The blue central field features seven octagonal medallions with
different field colors and motifs. At the center of the medallions are cross-shaped flowers with lateral arms and diagonal crosses.
The blue field is very densely and intricately decorated with various
swastikas, flowers, and rosettes. The light brown main border features
arrow motifs, rosettes, and small cross-shaped flowers, flanked
by two light-colored secondary borders with geometric flowers and bent tendrils.
Age: circa 1880.
Dimensions: approx. 3.13 x 1.11 meters (approx. 10.4 x 3.8 feet).
Material: Wool on wool with beautiful natural colors.
Condition: Uneven pile with low spots and wear (see photos).
The octagon is halved at the bottom, reduced in size, and subsequently sewn back together.
The ends are reduced and subsequently secured.
Both edges show signs of age and use (see photos).
Overall impression: good and acceptable. An interesting and sought-after collect
