Walking stick tripod  lenght: circa 99 cm Newman and Guardia, London; wood-body, metal fittings, the collar ring engraved N & G WALKING STICK TRIPOD STAND. PATENTED  The Walking Stick tripod was first advertised from 1922. It was designed as both a walking stick and for photographic use. 'It is very quickly opened for use, or collapsed for carrying. Adjustable for varying heights, it can be instantly locked at any position. A tie-rod runs through the tripod head, which is fitted with a clamp screw on stem'.
